APLE 2019

End Poverty

International Day for the Eradication of Poverty 17 October 2019.

PINS will be joining in with the APLE Collective on 17 October to light the UK map and show solidarity for the
International Day for the Eradication of Poverty.

APLE (Addressing Poverty with Lived Experience) is a national collective of individuals who experience poverty. The aim is to create a network across the UK to raise awareness of poverty, reduce stigma and work together with others to eradicate it.

APLE invite everyone to stand together in a visible show of solidarity on 17 October.

They want to promote the fantastic work going on and talk about proposed solutions - raising awareness of the need to eradicate poverty on both a local and national level.

The theme for 2019 is Acting together to empower children, their families and communities to end poverty.

To participate in lighting up the UK map:

Get in touch with Tracey Herrington traceyherrington@thrive-teesside.org.uk to let them know about your proposed activity, or to find out more.
