During the Covid-19 lockdown, we received a grant through the Coronavirus Community Support Fund. This helped us to ensure that families who are marginalised from society due to stigma attached to having a loved one with substance misuse issues were not left without support.
The art therapy classes raised funds from selling their crafts, we held socially distanced afternoon teas, working outside growing flowers and fruit to allow us contact at a safe distance to be able to give support and advice. Quickly organised zoom and other live video meetings to ensure that one to one support was given and as always telephone support day and night.
Further examples of how we ensured those in isolation were receiving essential supplies during lockdown can be seen here on Facebook page.
